The Top 3 Microsoft Dynamics 365 Office Integrations You Should be Using in 2018

Get more from Office 365!

Today on CRM Secrets, I’m going to show you the top three Microsoft Dynamics 365 Office integrations (and some important tips and tricks for each!) you should be using in 2018!

#1: Microsoft Outlook

Outlook Integration is huge. Dynamics 365 for Sales talks very well with Outlook. In fact, there’s basically nothing that you need to set up. All you need to do is install a light plug-in.

Once you’ve done that, you don’t even need to log into CRM to get the benefits of your Outlook integration. You can perform a lot of actions directly in Outlook and link those functions to Dynamics 365 in real time, which saves you time, makes your life a lot easier, and keeps all of your information in a central repository.

#2: Microsoft Excel

You can use Excel templates to massage and edit data. Dynamics 365 CRM allows you to download information into an Excel file while keeping track of the record IDs hidden in that file.

So if you need to update a bunch of records, let’s say because you’re changing account managers on a bunch of accounts, and you think it would be easier to use an Excel format of that file, you can clean up those records in an Excel template or a file that you’ve downloaded and then upload them back into Dynamics 365 for Sales even if names or values have changed.

Your Dynamics 365 CRM actually keeps track of those IDs in a hidden value and updates the records for you, which is a really handy feature.

#3: Microsoft Flow

This is a new one: Microsoft Flow now talks to Dynamics 365! You can use the automation tools in Flow to bring data into your CRM system, or to use data already in CRM.

So you can actually have Flow look at other applications, let’s say Twitter, or an email address, or wherever you want it to go, and it can take information that’s outside of your CRM system and pull it in.

You could also have Flow take information from CRM and use it to send an email reminder out to a customer.

These are just a few of the things you can do with these three valuable Dynamics 365 Office integrations. Join me next time for more information on Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales!
